Annual Meeting – Make plans to attend the 2022 KFIA Annual Meeting in Lexington, Kentucky at the Embassy Suites on March 29, 30 & 31. In 2021 we had a successful meeting with 250 in attendance and 26 exhibitors. Those in attendance gained valuable information while having time to network with others in the hardwood industry from throughout the country. The Real American Hardwood Promotion (logo attached) - The Real American Hardwood Promotion (RAC) is an initiative being undertaken by the state, regional and national hardwood associations to promote the use of hardwoods across all industry segments. The Associations have combined resources to fund research to learn how hardwoods can be better marketed to the consumer and discover how decisions are made when purchasing a wide range of hardwood products.Find out more

The 34th Kentucky Wood Expo took place on September 17 & 18 at Masterson Station Park. A number of manufacturers exhibited portable sawmill machines as well as other equipment. The success of this year’s expo is thanks to many of our members and partners throughout the forestry community. Plans to return in 2023 are underway and we will be celebrating 40 years of the KWE.Find out more

The Kentucky Forest Industries Association (KFIA) represents the wood products industry, landowners and forestry interests in Kentucky. The Association promotes the economic welfare and interests of the wood products industry through a number of programs and work with regulatory agencies advocating for forestry in the legislative process at the state and national level.
